PARLANGI FOR SCHOOLS

Give your students the ultimate language practice: real conversations

Two ways we bring classrooms to life

Every school is unique, which is why we co-create projects that fit your specific students. Here are two highly successful formats we are currently running:

1. Empowering newcomers (like OKAN students)

We match non-native children and youth with regular mentors or higher-education students. It is a beautiful win-win situation. For example: we are currently running an inspiring project connecting youth in Brussels (who speak a different language at home) with Flemish university students in social work and teacher training programs. The youth get to practice their Dutch in a safe, fun environment, while the future teachers gain invaluable, real-world intercultural coaching experience.

2. Cross-regional language exchange (Tandem learning)

Why limit learning to your own region? We connect schools from different language areas so students can help each other learn their respective native languages. A great example is connecting a classroom in Flanders (Dutch) with a classroom in Wallonia (French). The students take turns being the ‘learner’ and the ‘mentor’. It is a fantastic way to break down regional barriers and build mutual understanding.

Learning doesn't stop when the school bell rings.

• Real conversations with native speakers
Give your students the unique opportunity to practice speaking with native speakers through video calls. This immersive experience is key to mastering pronunciation, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.

• Boost confidence and fluency
Regular interaction with native speakers helps students build confidence and fluency, preparing them for real-world communication.

• Cultural enrichment
Our platform goes beyond language learning by fostering cultural exchange, broadening students’ perspectives, and promoting empathy.

How do we make this happen together?
(Project Funding)

We know that regular school budgets are often tight. Yet, we believe every student deserves these vital language practice opportunities. That is why we don’t just sell a service; we partner with schools to build fully funded social projects.

Because Parlangi focuses on social cohesion, equal opportunities, and true human connection, our programs align perfectly with the goals of major national and European funding organizations. Depending on your school’s specific needs, we can help you unlock funding through:

  • Local Social Cohesion & Equal Opportunities

Funds like the Cera Cooperative and the Queen Paola Foundation actively support projects that empower vulnerable youth and foster warm intergenerational connections. This is the perfect match for programs connecting newcomer students (like OKAN) with local (senior) volunteers.

  • Bridging Belgian Communities

Looking to set up a language exchange between a school in Flanders and one in Wallonia? The Prince Philippe Fund (managed by the King Baudouin Foundation) specifically finances projects that break down regional language barriers and build mutual understanding through tandem learning.

  • European Innovation & Integration

For larger or cross-border initiatives, programs like Erasmus+ (eTwinning) and AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund) offer substantial grants for digital inclusion, intercultural skills, and accelerating the social integration of non-native students.

We build your case together

You don’t have to write the grant application alone. We provide you with the proven impact data, the framework of our 4M-model, and the exact substantive building blocks you need to submit a strong, winning project proposal.
